We are Brynna Handley-Strahm & George Strahm, first-generation farmers.
We must admit that it was never in our childhood dreams to become farmers. Our families didn't come from generations of farming backgrounds, only some serious gardening and an immense love for the natural world. Honestly, that's what brought us to this place - a deep knowing that the natural world and its rhythms is all that is.
We could feel our souls shifting prior, but the 2020 pandemic really accelerated this inner knowing - the seed was planted. In early 2021, we found a slice of land with a circa 1826 farmhouse (albeit no other infrastructure), and knew we had found our farm.
We hit the ground running building a fenced in garden plot and in Spring 2022, a hoophouse. Although there is a lot more work and learning to be done (who are we kidding, it's never going to end)... here we are! That planted seed has germinated, and we can't wait to see all that it produces!
